SAMS
Week Long Clinic and Practice
SAMS
is hosting a week long Mounted Shooting Clinic and Practice from Sunday
February 17th through Sunday February 24th.
This
is a per-day Clinic. Entry is $50 per person per practice and
you can come for one or two or ALL of the days.
There
will be four to six hours of practice and instruction each day
covering all aspects of mounted shooting and focusing on YOUR
specific issues and things you want to practice. This clinic is
limited to eight riders and there are two spots left.
Tentative
Schedule:
Sunday
through Thursday: individual instruction in all aspects of mounted
shooting with lots of practice.
Friday:
Mounted Shooting Practice in a full size arena and run like a real
mounted shooting competition.
Saturday:
"Away Game"! You will compete in a real Mounted Shooting
Competition with your "coach" to help you remember all you
learned the previous week. (Competition is a separate entry fee with
no charge from SAMS. We will split the costs of gasoline to
California.)
Sunday:
Competition followup. We will review what we learned and what we
forgot curing the previous day's competition.

April 6th Sunday 9am, As part of the Springing Up, Spirit Therapies clean-up day, SAMS is asking for volunteers to help Laurie and Spirit Therapies. Dress in your cowboy work clothes to represent the mounted shooters and lets make this a fun "cowboy fantasy" day for all the kids! 9140 La Madre Way Las Vegas NV 89149 Saturday April 26th 10am to 2pm: Springfest Mounted Shooting Demonstration at Spring Mountain Ranch. Nov 1st and 2nd: Civil War Days at Spring Mountain Ranch! Come out and Galvinize Confederate or Union and practice your Cavalry Competition shooting. There will be Cavalry Competitions and Drills and Old-West demonstrations. $10 is all you pay to the Southern Nevada Living History Association.
