are the newest mounted shooting organization promoting clinics and
practices for all disciplines and levels of skill in mounted shooting.
We are a group of PROFESSIONAL and EXPERIENCED Mounted Shooting
Competitors, Champions, and CERTIFIED Range Officers working to grow
this FUN and Fantastic Sport!

President's Message
My name is Richard Howes and I would like to welcome you to
SAMS! We are a Nevada Registered Non-Profit Corporation
promoting Cowboy Mounted Shooting ( www.cmsa.net).
Please look around this website at the various articles,
photographs, and the event schedule for our Old-West Events, Mounted
Shooting, Cowboy Action Shooting, and Charitable
Organizations we work with to help horses, children, and the
Las Vegas Valley Community!
For 2008 we have the pleasure of being welcomed into the
Boulder City Horseman's Association and Henderson Saddle
Association for our CMSA point events. In addition we have
four Breastcollar Series Events.
...AND THAT'S NOT ALL! We will be giving away a 2008 YEAR END
Custom Handmade 1800s COWBOY SADDLE based on a random
drawing. For every clean stage that you shoot you get one
ticket into the drawing. It all depends on YOU! If you shoot a
stage and don’t miss – you get one more ticket!!! ALSO we
will add up your club points and award YEAR END LOGO JACKETS
to qualified division winners. The awards ceremony will be
held in October 2008, so you have plenty of time to come out
and compete and practice and earn points towards the SADDLE!!!

In 2008 SAMS will continue to work with the Southern Nevada
Living History Association ( http://www.snlha.org/) to
promote Old-West and Civil War events! We will be
participating in the Civil War Christmas program at the
Old-Las Vegas Fort ( http://parks.nv.gov/olvmf.htm)
and working with Spirit Therapies - riding for disabled
children ( www.http://spirittherapies.org/).
We will continue to host SASS Cowboy Action Shooting in
Ely
,
NV
with our affiliated sister-club: the Steptoe Valley Raiders ( http://www.nevadacas.com/steptoevalleyraiders.htm).
We are also working with the Ely train Robbers and we will be
hosting the "8th Annual Pony Express Shootout" in
September!

shooting we schedule week-night and evening practices and
